Mason Filippi: The Road to 2026

Fresh off a championship season and a Nürburgring 24h victory, Mason Filippi enters 2026 with a dual-program campaign, hungry to prove that last year was just the beginning.

2025 was a year I'll never forget. The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge championship, the Nürburgring 24 Hours victory with Hyundai — those results didn't happen by accident. They were the product of years of work, incredible teammates, and a team environment at Hyundai Motorsport that simply doesn't accept anything less than maximum effort.

But championships are history the moment the season ends. 2026 is a blank page, and that's exactly how I approach it.

This year I'm running a dual program for the first time at this level. On the GT3 side, I'll be competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD class behind the wheel of the Corvette Z06 GT3.R with DXDT Racing. On the TCR side, I'm back with Hyundai running the Elantra N TCR in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, defending the championship we won last year.

Two very different cars. Two very different challenges. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

The Corvette Z06 GT3.R is a completely different animal to the Elantra. More power, more mechanical grip, more downforce — but also more to manage over the course of a long race. The Michelin Pilot Challenge rounds are shorter and more aggressive, where qualifying position matters enormously. The IMSA WeatherTech rounds are chess matches that can last four hours or more.

Keeping a sharp edge in both disciplines is going to require focus I've never had to maintain at this level before. I'm ready for it.

My goals for 2026 are simple: win races, fight for the championship in both series, and continue building the program that makes Mason Filippi Racing a platform that sponsors, fans, and manufacturers want to be part of.

The road to 2026 starts now.
