The Mason Filippi Coaching Program: Racing Development Done Right
Professional coaching from a championship-winning IMSA driver. Mason Filippi's coaching program is designed for drivers who are serious about making the next step.
Coaching in motorsport has a problem. Too much of what's marketed as driver coaching is generic — the same generic advice, the same simulator sessions, the same feedback that applies to every driver regardless of where they actually are in their development.
The Mason Filippi Coaching Program is built differently.
Every session I do with a driver starts with a thorough assessment of where they currently are. Data analysis of their recent race weekends. A conversation about their goals — what series they're targeting, what timeline they're working to, what specific areas they know they need to improve. Only after that conversation do we build the program.
Some drivers need work on racecraft — understanding how to position a car in traffic, how to defend and attack cleanly, how to read a race as it develops. Others are technically proficient but need help with the mental side — managing pressure, preparing for qualifying, processing mistakes during a race without letting them affect the rest of the session. Many need both.
What I bring to the coaching relationship is experience that is current and directly applicable. I race at the professional level every weekend against the best sports car drivers in North America. The lessons I learn on Saturday and Sunday translate directly into what I teach on Monday. This is not coaching from a driver who competed a decade ago. This is live, competitive, factory-level motorsport knowledge applied to your development.
The program is limited to a small number of drivers per year by design. I am not interested in volume. I am interested in results — in watching the drivers I work with make genuine, measurable progress.
