Track Facts
Originally known as Mosport Park, the circuit was renamed Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in 2012 after a major renovation.
Mosport hosted the Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix in 1967, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, and 1974 before the race moved to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
The circuit is famous for its high-speed, sweeping layout with significant elevation changes — Turn 2 in particular is considered one of the fastest and most demanding corners in North America.
Located about 100km east of Toronto, the facility sits on 750 acres of rolling Canadian Shield landscape.
Can-Am, Formula 5000, and NASCAR have all held major events here alongside its long history with sports car racing.
