Track Facts
Road Atlanta is home to the Petit Le Mans, one of the most prestigious endurance races in North America and the season finale of the IMSA WeatherTech Championship.
The back straight is one of the fastest in American motorsport — GT cars regularly hit over 180 mph before braking hard into the tight Turn 10A/10B chicane.
The massive elevation change between Turns 1 and 7 creates dramatic compression and crest moments that challenge even experienced professionals.
The circuit opened in 1970 and was built on rolling Georgia farmland north of Atlanta. It quickly became a favorite among drivers for its challenging, flowing layout.
Canadian-American Challenge Cup (Can-Am) races were held here in the early 1970s, establishing the track's reputation for fast, powerful sports cars.
